EEI’s member companies are closely monitoring Tropical Storm Isaias, which is continuing to track toward the southeast United States. Isaias’ exact track remains uncertain, and customers in Florida and along the East Coast are urged to monitor forecasts closely, to have their emergency outage kits stocked and ready, and to heed all evacuation orders.

Earlier this week, EEI member companies in the path of Isaias activated their emergency response plans and stand ready to restore any power outages caused by the storm safely and as quickly as possible. The industry’s mutual assistance networks also are activated.

Given the COVID-19 pandemic, EEI member companies are following enhanced safety protocols to protect our customers and our crews. We ask for our customers’ patience as these additional precautions may slow some restoration processes.
